In 1980 our grandfather, Frans (pictured), started refurbishing desks. He got the first desk from a friend who was moving and no longer needed it. Our grandpa decided to give the desk a second life, completely restored it and placed an ad in the local newspaper to sell it.

After that first desk, he began purchasing more and more desks. He repaired damage in the wood and fitted the desks with a new leather top. In this way he made the desks like new again. We vividly remember how his shed always smelled of floor polish, with which he carefully treated each desk. For years he worked in his shed, until a move left him without space to continue his work.

At that point, Bas saw not only his grandfather's craftsmanship, but also the potential to continue and expand this artisanal tradition. With a new shed and Grandpa's experienced hands, the family business was revived.

In the mean time, Bas' brother Job is also part of the company. Together we combine traditional craftsmanship with a fresh perspective on the market.
